Meet the Coach: Donnie Sallee

Title: Asst coach - WR's

Other Info: Don Sallee will be entering his 6th year as a member of the Union Knight staff. He as coached wide receivers all six years and has also served as offensive coordinator for the freshmen and sophomore teams.

Donnie's son, Logan is a member of the 2011 state championship team and is planning on playing football at Buena Vista University fall of 2012.

Prior to joining the staff at UHS, Sallee was an assistant to Hadachek with the origination of the Knights Youth Football Club. The first KYFC team consisted of a great number of players who took UHS to the Dome this past season.

Donnie's claim to fame as a member of the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings team in high school was picking off NFL legend Kurt Warner who was the QB for Regis High School.

Donnie's wife name is Rebecca and he also has a daughter attending UHS, Natalie.
