District MVPs and TOP RBs in all of 3A

Class 3A District MVPs by Luke F @ Iowa Preps.com

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There may be only one week left of the 2010 regular season but that won't be stopping Iowa Preps from naming who we feel are the district MVPs in 3A. This includes picks in all eight of the districts. Find out which talented athletes earned these awards now!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

District 5 - West Burnside, Union
Why - The way Burnside has played this fall has made him one of the most obvious choices for a district MVP in any class. He is about to topple the 2,000 yard mark as a junior and has continued to show why he is a game changer. Burnside will be one to keep a close eye on in the postseason.

Others Considered - Trev Hadachek of Union, Colton Storla of Marion, Dusty Albaugh of Marion, Chase Coakley of Maquoketa, Joe Feldpausch of Dewitt

District 6 - Zach Twedt of Benton
Why - Yes his team has struggled in comparison to Solon, Williamsburg, and others. But there may not be a single more important 3A player to his team. Twedt is well over 1,000 yards on the ground and has once again been dominating at linebacker as well.

Others Considered - JJ Hanus of Solon, Brett Waughop of Williamsburg, Kelly O'Rourke of Williamsburg, Jordan Ferch of Williamsburg, Austin Blythe of Williamsburg, Dylan Villhauer of Clear Creek-Amana

Top 10 Running Backs in 3A by Luke F @ Iowa Preps, posted Oct 21, 2010

Eight weeks are in the books and there is no doubt that the race to the 3A State title has a lot of interesting subplots. But one key area that will determine who hoists the State title is which club has the best running back. Iowa Preps puts together our list of the top ten running backs in 3A this fall and ranks them 1-10 now!

Notes: Recruiting had nothing to do with this list. It was based on productivity on the field and overall team success. This was a very difficult list to put together and we hope to update it later in the season as well. Please let us know what you think.

1.) Wes Burnside of Union
The fact that Burnside is rated ahead of an All State and State champion in Barrett says a lot about the type of year that he has been having so far. He has his team undefeated through the first eight games of the year and on pace to win the district title. But if he wants to stay #1, Burnside must prove he can do it in the playoffs.

2.) Dylan Barrett of Harlan
3.) Jordan Ferch of Grinnell
4.) Brandon Domeyer of West Delaware
5.) Keegan Parks of Webster City
6.) Colton Storla of Marion
7.) Zach Twedt of Benton
8.) Zach Crain of Norwalk
9.) Cody Sacquitne of Decorah
10.) Michael Malloy of Sioux City Heelan
