Two more Knights heading to Iowa Central next fall!

Two more Union Knights are planning on going to college and participating in football. Senior LB/SA and special teams player Jon Porter and TE/DE Brad Gallup both made significant contributions with the journey to the UNI Dome and Union's first ever state championship in football. The Knights won the 3A state title with one of the smallest enrollments in 3A defeating the Decorah Vikings 21-14. Gallup caught the go ahead touchdown in the 4th quarter to put the Knights up for good as they opened the season with a win over Decorah and ended the season with a win over Decorah.

They are both going to Fort Dodge and Iowa Central Community College after visiting and verbally committing on Wednesday. They will play for head coach Kevin Twait and the Triton football program joining teammates Wesley Burnside and Zach Bathen.

This brings the total of six players planning on playing football next fall at the collegiate level.

Congratulations to Jon and Brad and their families!
