Hinders commits to play at Wartburg College

Cole Hinders, son of Pam Hinders and Curt Hinders, has officially committed to attending Wartburg College in Waverly, IA next fall. Hinders was a two-year starter for the 3A Union Knights and a first team 3A D5 selection for 2012. Academically he was also chosen as an academic all district selection (3.5 GPA or higher). Cole was also honored as a team captain for 2012 and team unity council leadership member. He also participates in basketball and track.

Wartburg College is a member of the NCAA Division III, Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The football team finished in a three way tie for second place in 2011. For more information about Wartburg football and the IACC click here: Knight football information

Hinders played both ways for the Union Knights football team, linebacker and tight end. He was part of a senior class that brought home the first ever football state championship to Union High School. In addition to Wartburg College, Hinders was considering Coe College, University of Sioux Falls, Upper Iowa University, and Winona State.
