Austin Bunz
Have you made your college decision?
"I gave my verbal to Winona State last Friday."

Why did you pick Winona State?
"I visited up there and I really loved it. I like the environment, the campus, and that the town has a big feel about it. I had visited BV earlier and it didn't seem like a big enough stage. I was really looking to walk on at UNI but this seemed like a great opportunity at Winona with a scholarship. I'd rather go to a stage like that which has guaranteed playing time."

What other schools were you considering?
"It was Winona State, Buena Vista, UNI, and Wartburg."

How hard was it turning down UNI?
"It was very tough because it has been a place I dreamt of. My dad played there. It was always somewhere I could see myself going but it didn't pan out for me."

How do you feel about the coaches at Winona State?
"It is a great coaching staff. The guy that recruited me is from around here and he is down to Earth. They told me straight up what position I'd play and the things I can do to help the offense. It was exactly what I wanted to hear."

Do you know what you will major in?
"English."
