Overview

Another outstanding group of seniors is out the door at Union but the talent pool has yet to dry up.  Quarterback Jay Scheel is back for his senior season and this Iowa commitment is one of the most versatile athletes in the entire state.  He combined for over 2,700 rushing and passing while also making an impact defensively and on special teams.  If he stays healthy, Scheel will flat out dominate during his senior campaign.  Leading tackler Jace Hadachek is back for his junior year defensively and is an underrated linebacker who can just make plays.  The Knights know that they can count on these two but filling the other spots on the field is vital if they can remain in the race for a district crown.  That alone will determine how successful this group is during the fall.

Team Strengths

Returning quarterback position along with a core group of players that have patiently been waiting to play. The winning tradition over the last six year combined with coaching staff continuity.

Questions Marks

Biggest concern is lack of game experience. Our senior class has talent and we have good players in the junior and sophomore classes. The biggest challenge we face is finding out who will play what position as fast as possible.
