Burnside signs letter of intent, Ansley officially commits

Two-time, 3A first team all-state running back Wes Burnside signed his officially letter of intent at Union Middle School joining teammate 3rd team INA all stater Kyle Ansley at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA next fall. Both were recruited by head Coach Kevin Twait. Burnside departs Union Community as one of the all time rushing leaders in the state of Iowa. Burnside was a two time team captain and holds nearly every rushing record at UHS. Wes will also represent the North side at the Iowa Shrine Bowl in July.

Kyle Ansley had a standout season for the 3A state champion Knights at defensive end and also holds Union's record for hang clean with over 300 pounds. Ansley had a great year in the shot put also breaking the UHS record with a throw of over 59 feet. Ansley will compete in camp for a traveling position and opportunity to earn a scholarship.
