Union athlete Jay Scheel has helped his team win their last two games this fall on the gridiron. A third straight victory is the hope this weekend as they battle Osage in their Homecoming matchup.
"It definitely makes it a lot more fun. We'll be excited to play and be ready."

Scheel feels that the Knights have done a great job turning the corner.

"It has been a lot of fun. We had a rough start in the first week but we are rolling now."

Losing to Center Point-Urbana is something that Scheel was able to learn from.

"It is not underestimate any team and not take any plays off. We have to keep our heads in it and stay focused."

Scheel has been happy with his play but knows he can still do more.

"I've been a little banged up. I have tendinitis in my knees. I feel I am playing better overall but I'm not satisfied with it. I can still pick it up."

A recent visit to the Iowa-Iowa State game was something that Scheel enjoyed.

"It was a fun game but it could have gone a little better for them. It was a really cool experience and I thought the trip was awesome."

Scheel has plans to see another school in the near future.

"I plan on going to an Iowa State game sometime soon."
