Union Knights Football Team

Senior standout Jared Wauters made his final decision to attend Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa this week. Jared is the son of Jerry and Lori Wauters and lives near Elberon, Iowa.

Jared played wide receiver, safety, and ran back punts. He received many honors the past two years including first team all state, selection to the North Shrine Bowl team, Union team captain and offensive co-MVP, and first team all district. He was among the top receivers in 3A football this past season and holds ten Union football all time team records.

In addition to an outstanding career on the football field, Jared received 2009 academic all state honors from the IFCA.

Jared plans to play football and basketball at Wartburg College. Wartburg College is a NCAA III member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and located in Waverly, Iowa. Check out Wartburg Knight football by clicking here.
