Seniors Josh Clark and Dalton Crosser recruited by National Champs!

January 28, 2013

Two seniors that have shared a great deal of time together on defense are Josh Clark and Dalton Crosser.  Now there may

be a chance they will be re-UNITED next fall on the gridirion.

Josh has been a two time all state performer and dominated on both sides of the ball last fall.   Josh also placed

4th in 2A state wrestling at heavy weight last winter and is gettin ready for sectionals this Saturday.   Josh has been a two time

captain for the Knights helping pave the way with the 2011 State 3A champions and the 2012 2A D5 champions.   His work ethic

in the weight room has been a key ingredient to staying injury free while playing varsity ball for four years.   It is very rare that

a freshman see the field for the Union Knights.

Dalton Crosser has been a noseguard all four years and became a 2nd team all district performer as a junior and this year was

a first team all district player.   Dalton has also helped out when needed on special teams and scout team at practice.   He has

also been a member of the Union boys track team in high school.

Both young men just got back from visiting one of the top JUCOs in the nation, Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Ia.   They both commented on how great the facilities were at Ia Western and how much they liked the coaching staff at the school.

Iowa Western CC was the 2012 NJCAA National Champions and has a great history of success in a short amount of time.  Last year over 80 NCAA division I programs visited the school to recruit.  You can see more about the school and the history of success by clicking here:  http://athletics.iwcc.edu/sports/?Sport=football.
