Meet the coaches: Tony DeSousa

Title: Special Team Coord - Assistant Tight Ends

Other Info: 20th season at Union this fall, 2012. Previous Head freshman coach, Head JV coach and coached numerous offensive and defensive positions while at Union Community School. Was named 2006 Class 2A Assistant Football Coach of the Year by Iowa Football Coaches Association.

Education: Master of Arts Degree in Manufacturing Processes, University of Northern Iowa,1992, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education: Major, Industrial Technology, Minor- Coaching and Safety Education 1975.

Playing Experience: University of Northern Iowa, 1971-72, Monticello High School ?four years.

Lives in rural LaPorte City with wife, Linda of 36 years. Sons: Tyler, 26 and Ryan, 19 both played at Union. Ryan will be coaching with the Knights as a student assistant this fall.

Hobbies: Going to the gym, outdoor activities including hunting and fishing, working with young people.
