Meet the Coach: Scott Denner

Coach Denner will take on more responsibilites this fall, his 2nd on the Knight staff. He has attended the IWU Line Camp for two summers and is a great student of the game. Denner will coach the varsity line and have duties assisting the HFC including overseeing the managers.

Mr. Denner also helped out coaching with the Union strength & conditioning program last year.

Coach Denner has also accepted the position of head boys basketball coach at Union High School and has been working with the young men over the summer in preparation for this winter.

Scott comes to us via Postville HS where he was the former Head Coach. Coach Denner led his team to the playoffs at Postville and also was an elementary teacher.

Prior to his Postville position, Coach Denner was a standout athlete at Turkey Valley HS and then played at Wartburg College. He was an impact player for the Knights and received some NFL scout attention.
