Union quarterback Trev Hadachek had some big shoes to fill behind center for the Knights in 2010. But this talented sophomore has been an impact player for an undefeated team that has spent most of the year ranked among the top ten teams at the Class 3A level.

Trev Hadachek
"We had a really good summer and winter. We knew we could be this strong even if people would overlook us. All we care about is playing our best on Friday."

Hadachek knows that there still are areas that Union can clean up.

"I think we have to be more consistent with our drives. We'll have some really good drives and then have penalties to knock us back. We are getting better at stopping people. That really is about it."

Western Dubuque is on the schedule next and the only thing that stands between them and a seventh victory.

"We have never played them before so I don't know what to expect. They have a really good passing game. They have good people good games so we won't overlook them. It'll be a tough test."

Hadachek mentioned a few of the things that could help them earn a victory.

"I think it is who controls the ball the best and who can score touchdowns. Our defense has to play good because they throw the ball really well and run really well. It should be a hardnosed game."

Although it is early, Hadachek has received college attention from one program.

"Buena Vista has sent me some stuff. That has been about it."

Hadachek mentioned the two schools that he has followed since he was much younger.

"Notre Dame has always been my favorite college and so has UNI. My dad has watched Notre Dame on Saturdays for a long time. We also go to UNI games almost every time so it is a home town thing."
