2009 MBC Commisoner's Update Message
The Head Commissioner would like to pass along two important announcements for 2009:
1) Starting with our 2009 Football Season, ALL member associations in the Mt. Baldy Football & Cheer Conference will add the "Tiny-Mite" division. This Division is a learning division and will consist only of 5 and 6 year old players. The weight range for Tiny-Mites is 35 to 75 lbs. The Tiny-Mite division has several unique rules. Here are just some of the differences:
- 80 yard field.
- Coaches are allowed on field.
- No Kick-offs, punting or point after touchdown attempts.
- No score is maintained or posted and no Win/Loss/Tie stats maintained.
- Game consists of two 22 minute halfs.
- All games are on running clock except for time-outs.
The object of the Tiny-Mite division is to teach the players the fundamentals of football. The Tiny-Mite Division will play a normal 8 game season with no post-season games.
For Cheerleaders, this also means that we are adding the Tiny-Mite Cheer division for 5 and 6 year old cheerleaders.
2) For the 2009 season no Mt. Baldy Conference member Association can charge more then $225 for player or Cheerleader registration fees.
