Victor 5, McQuaid 0

Victor went to 5-0 on the season by shutting out McQuaid 5-0 on Friday night at the Rochester Ice Center (http://pointstreak.com/prostats/gamesheet_full.html?gameid=3248031).  Sam Lambert had a big 4-point night with a goal and 3 assists.  Sam opened the scoring by chipping forward a faceoff in his own end and picking up the loose puck, carrying it the length of the ice, beating a defender wide, and then driving strong to the net, finishing with a nice move to beat the McQuaid goalie short-side.  Special teams were also big on the evening as Victor capitalized on 3 of 5 power-play opportunities (2 goals by Andrew Crean and 1 by Mitch Rydzynski).  Josh Albert scored the remaining goal.  The home crowd also gets a big assist on the night as the atmosphere at the Ice Center was electric — keep coming out!  Victor next takes on cross-town rival Pittsford (2-1) on Tuesday night at 7:00 at RIT’s Ritter Arena.
