Victor 1, Fairport 1

In a physical game against rival Fairport, the Blue Devils played to a 1-1 tie on Tuesday night (http://pointstreak.com/prostats/gamesheet_full.html?gameid=3248064).  The game was tight throughout with both goalies coming up with timely saves.  Fairport opened the scoring with four minutes left in the opening period.  With under a minute left in the period, Victor evened up the game as Sam Lambert found Connor Gelabert breaking down the slot ­ Connor buried a backhand high to the goalie’s blocker side.  The tension built as the game stayed tied at one apiece through the end of regulation time.  Victor came close on a 5 on 3 power play in the third but couldn’t capitalize.  In the end, both teams played to a hard fought 1-1 tie.  Victor next takes on Canandaigua on Thursday night at 7:00 at Rochester Ice Center.
