Victor opens up season with 2-1 victory over Thomas in Charron Classic!

Victor started off the season with a 2-1 win over Webster Thomas at the Charron Classic (http://pointstreak.com/prostats/gamesheet_full.html?gameid=3247998).  After a scoreless first period, Mitch Rydzynski opened up the season scoring with a power play goal early in the second.  Nice puck movement from Sam Lambert and Andrew Crean found Rydzynski open on the side of the net.  Jack McCandless followed up with a partial breakaway goal as a nice break out pass from Ryan McNamara sent him in on net alone—McCandless buried it!  Thomas cut the lead in half on a power play goal of their own with a little over three minutes remaining in the game.  Chase Ierlan, who was solid all game, came up big with a timely save with 2:45 remaining.  Victor held on with tight defense to close out the game with the 2-1 win.  Victor next plays Brighton/HFL/East Rochester at 5:15 on Tuesday night at Rochester Ice Center at 5:15.
