Victor 4, Penfield 2

Alex Hernandez netted two goals to propel Victor to a 4-2 win over Penfield (http://pointstreak.com/prostats/gamesheet_full.html?gameid=3248102).  With almost three weeks between games for both teams, both teams were ready to play on Tuesday night.  Hernandez opened the scoring late in the first period, with a nifty move behind the net to get the Penfield keeper moving the wrong way.  Alex came back the other way and tucked it short-side before the keeper could recover.  Penfield tied it up early in the second scoring off a power-play goal.  However, Tony Prem and Hernandez scored two quick goals midway through the period to give Victor a two-goal cushion heading into the third.  It was a tight third period with both goalies turning away decent scoring chances until Penfield made it a one-goal game with a little over five minutes remaining.  With the goalie pulled, Sam Lambert sealed the game with an empty-net goal.  Victor (8-0-2) next takes on Hilton (4-6-1) on Friday night, Jan 12 at 7:00 at Lakeshore Ice Arena.
