Victorville, CA - Frank Padilla smashed two homeruns in the final round to win the 2008 City of Victorville Wiffleball Homerun Derby. The final round was a match-up of the top two hitters from the first two rounds. The leader after the first two rounds was switch hitting Mike Iorio who hit 7 to Padilla's 6. In the championship round however, Iorio hit many line drives but managed only one homerun and had to hope that Padilla would have a cold streak. Eric Jensen finished in a distant third place with one homerun in the first two rounds ahead of both Derick and Edward Landeros. Derick had many drives that should have gone the distance but were deflected. He's someone to watch in future derbys. Dominic adn Jacob Padilla participated in the youth derby and hit their fair share of homers.

Padilla won a 2008 Nissan 350Z and a The Terminal DVD. Iorio won a Ferris Bueller DVD. All participants took home In and Out coupons for a free hamburger. Pictures and YouTube videos will be available soon. Fun was had by all
