Lowestoft proved more than match for table toppers Walsham who returned home very happy with a point. Lowestoft's young and organised side had much of the early possession and it was somewhat against the run of play when Proctor put Walsham in the lead with a low slot. Williams hit the bar for Lowestoft as they sought for the equaliser. The second half was much the same with Lowestoft pressing but it was Walsham who had the best chances through Curtis and a header by Probert well save by Attridge. Halfway through the half Lowestoft finally equalised through the outstanding Williams who hammered home a loose ball. Diaper went close for Walsham, but it was Lowestoft who should have taken the points five minutes from time when Williams saw his well struck penalty spectacularly saved by Lynn. Despite a few goalmouth scrambles Walsham held on for a hard fought draw.
