Here are a few friendly reminders for this season:

  • Spectators will have to pay an admission fee of $5 for adults and $3 for children to enter the building (No reentry). This admission fee covers the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade games for a specific school. Please make sure to tell the person collecting the admission fee which school you are there to support so that you don't accidentally pay for the wrong set of games. 
  • When spectators enter the gym they will need to find a seat on the bleachers accross from the team they are their to support. Fans are not permitted anywhere except for on the bleachers, at the concession stand, or in the restrooms. Fans who are standing in front of the entrance will be asked to find a seat in the bleachers.
  • All spectators will be required to clear the gym and use the hallway to the right of the water fountain to exit the building at the conclusion of the last game for the school they came to support.
  • Spectators will have to pay the full admisson fee to reenter the building if they want to watch the next set of games.
  • No unaccompanied spectators under the age of 18 will be permitted entry into the games. Children must be supervised at all times and may not be left unattended.
  • Broadfording Christian Academy is a school and therefore is a SMOKE FREE ZONE.  No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted in the building or anywhere else on the school campus, including in vehicles.
  • Most importantly, all players, coaches, and fans must follow by the WCMSBL Code of Conduct (posted below the team reminders).

TEAM REMINDERS:

Players should arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled game time.

Players should go stand as a team in their assigned area when they enter the gym while they wait for the game before theirs to end.(Home Team - stand in the corner of the gym at the end of the home team bench, by the vending machinesVisiting Team - stand in the corner of the gym at the end of the bleachers, by the lion).

There will be no locker room access this season.

Visiting Team - Colored Uniform, Left Bench

Players should never be in the gym unsupervised! Players should not arrive at the gym prior to the coach(es) being there unless they are under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian, and coaches should not leave the gym until all players have been picked up or are under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT 

(Voted on, approved by, entered into League Bylaws and subject to enforcement by the League Board of Directors and League Supported Security)

Youth sports programs play an important role in promoting the physical, social and emotional development of children. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches and officials to encourage youth athletes to embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Moreover, adults involved in youth sports events should be role models of good sportsmanship and should lead by example by demonstrating fairness, respect and self-control.

I therefore pledge to be responsible for my words and actions while attending, coaching, officiating or participating in a youth sports event and shall conform my behavior to the following code of conduct:

  1. I will not engage, nor will I encourage my child to engage, in unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

  2. I will not engage, nor will I encourage my child to engage, in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

  3. I will not use drugs or alcohol while at a youth sports event and will not attend, coach, officiate or participate in a youth sports event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  4. I will not permit my child, nor encourage any other person, to use drugs or alcohol at a youth sports event or encourage any other person, to attend, coach, officiate or participate in a youth sports event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  5. I will not engage in the use of profanity, nor encourage my child, or any other person, to engage in the use of profanity.

  6. I will treat, and encourage my child to treat, any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee with respect regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation or ability.

  7. I will not engage, nor will I encourage my child to engage, in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

  8. I will not initiate, nor will I encourage my child or anyone else to initiate, a fight or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.

I hereby agree that if I fail to conform my conduct to the aforementioned code of conduct while attending, coaching, officiating or participating in a youth sports event I will be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following in any order or combination:

  1. Verbal and/or written warning issued by a league, organization or school official.

  2. Suspension or immediate ejection from a youth sports event issued by a league, organization or school official who is authorized to issue such suspension or ejection by a school board or youth sports organization, including possible player and/or coach suspension due to parental action or suspension.

  3. Season suspension or multiple season suspension issued by a school board or youth sports organization, including possible player and/or coach suspension due to parental action or suspension
