County Bond Meetings – Mark your Calendar!

April 25 and May 2: Show your support for Parks!

May 16 and May 30: Show your support for S. 12^th Avenue!

The third of seven final meetings of the Pima County Bond Advisory Committee will be held Downtown Friday, April 25 from 8 am to Noon at the Hotel Tucson City Center (formerly Inn Suites – 475 N. Granada). The May meetings will be held Downtown at the Arizona Riverpark Inn – 350 S. Freeway (south of Congress). It’s very important that you attend and fill out a support card for projects you want to see happen. You can also speak in support of your favorite projects during “Call to the Audience.”

The April 25 and May 2 meetings are devoted entirely to Parks projects.

The May 16 and May 30th meetings will include a presentation for the S. 12^th Avenue Cultural and Culinary Corridor – under the category of Public Health, Flood Control, Neighborhood Reinvestment and Government Facilities. The final meeting, June 20^th, will cover Job Growth, Education and Workforce Training citywide.

Parks projects in Ward 1 include:

·         “A” Mountain – Sentinel Peak Park

·         Joaquin Murrieta Park

·         Kennedy Park

·         Sports Fields and Lighting (citywide)
