Wickliffe Baseball League Meeting - 5/18/2017

Roll Call: 

Executive Board – Pugh, Gilman, Novotney, Levon, Krizner,

Trustees – Brandt, Rossman,

Also present:  Dave Stoehr

Levon made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of the 4/20 meeting.  Seconded by Rossman.  Motion passed.

Officer Reports:

VP – No report

Treasurer – Novotney announced the income/expense report for April-May, which is stated below.  

1) Checking account balance - $1660.34

2) Savings account balance - $12,557.18

3) Cooperstown 2017  - $6,709.50

4) Clinics - $1,302.33

In her report, Kathy provided hard copies of the income/expense report from 2/10/17 – 5/17/17.  She also provided the breakdown of income and expenses from the Game Show Night Fundraiser from 2/24/17.

Secretary – No report

Equipment Manager – Krizner stated all of the tournament uniforms were ordered and they were scheduled to be completed on Thursday, 5/25.  He asked about the availability of getting more umpire’s gear.  After a brief discussion, the board approved the purchase of two umpire masks.

Umpire in Chief – No report

Player Development Manager – No report

President – Pugh stated that the tournament team tryouts worked out well with the independent evaluators

Old Business:  

• Pugh notified the board that the background checks were completed by First Select and the results were all positive.

• Brandt asked that the board to design an annual budget going forward.  

o What is the minimum amount we want to have in our checking/savings account?  

o How much money should we budget for spending on equipment?  

• Brandt also reminded the board that we still need to develop an end of the year feedback survey to send out to the parents in July.  

New Business:  

• Pugh told the board if they see anything on the website that needs updated/modified, please let Shirer know.

• It was agreed upon by the board that their will be no tournament team fee for the parents for the Pony (14U) team since they are using their rec uniforms, and only playing in one non-Wickliffe tournament.
