2007 Interleague Rules (Minor Through Senior)
ALL INTERLEAGUE RULES WILL BE ADHERED TO – FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN PENALTIES. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS OR EXCUSES FOR THE SEASON
1. All teams will carry a current, district approved roster, medical release and signed pitching affidavit.
2. Notification of “no game” must be presented to an opposing coach no less than 24 hours prior to game time. Only cancellations for valid reasons (religious functions, school functions) will be rescheduled. IF THE TEAM HAS 9 PLAYERS THEY MUST PLAY THAT SCHEDULED GAME! Contact your league commissioner. MUST CONTACT UMPIRE IF GAME IS CANCELLED!
3. Any team not fielding 9 players or not showing pitching documentation, may be given a grace period of 15 minutes for home team and 30 minutes for traveling team at the courtesy of the opposing manager. Failure to field 9 players will result in a no game. No game should be considered or team convinced to play with less than 9 players.
4. Each team shall provide at least 2 new baseballs for each game.
5. All inter-league games count towards league standings.
6. Games delayed by consent or weather and not played within 10 calendar days will result in a no game. BOD will make final determination if game will be played or forfeited. First half winners need to be determined at the end of half. League Commissioner will coordinate.
7. All protests should be handled by a District 10 Official and one impartial league rep from respective league. The plate umpire must be advised of the protest and the scorebook signed (a report from the plate umpire is required). Protest procedures MUST be followed. Rule 4.19 Failure to follow rules will result in no protest. The decision of the District 10 Official will be final.
8. All players MUST be in uniform. All uniforms MUST be numbered and have patches
9. Each Manager will complete a lineup card with a copy and present it to the plate umpire at the meeting at the plate. The game will not start until plate umpire has 2 complete lineup cards. Plate Umpire is responsible no matter what the scorekeeper has written down.
10. Chief Umpire shall be afforded and furnished the 2007 Rule Book before the start of the season. Umpires MUST be familiar with Little League rules.
11. Scorebooks or pitching forms of both teams must be signed & dated by both Managers after each game, making sure pitch counts are documented and accurate. If a manager fails to show valid pitching documentation at any game, the game will not be played, but considered for rescheduling. The Manager will be given a warning. Any subsequent offenses by that team will result in a 1 game suspension of the Manager.
12. Home team shall provide official scorebook and report scores to league director or commissioner.
13. No local league “home field” ground rules will apply except those authorized and approved by the district. Approved ground rules will be distributed to all teams and announced before the game starts. Confer with umpire and home manager before game. Umpires will review ground rules before the game.
14. EJECTIONS Under District Interleague play, rule 4.07 will be enforced. Players without parents in attendance will be supervised by a league official until the end of the game. The ejected manager or coach will not be eligible for, or allowed to attend the next scheduled game. (This includes pre game practice and activities). Managers/coaches will leave the premises. Players who are ejected will not attend the next scheduled game. All ejections are noted in scorebook in ink.
15. The District Administrator, District UIC and League Presidents must be notified of all ejections.
16. Batting: Rule 4.04 allows a policy of continuous batting order in all divisions that will include all players on the present roster for the game. This may only be used if elected by that leagues Board of Directors. In Interleague games where the two teams playing have different rules regarding Rule 4.04, it will be the coach’s option for that game.

Interleague play is now offered by Little League in District 10 to supplement the declining enrollment of local leagues and is a courtesy to the leagues. If you don’t agree with the rules, your teams will be removed from the schedule
