    De La Salle History
De La Salle High School is a private, Catholic, all-boys school in Concord, California, United States. It was founded in 1965 as a Lasallian institution. De La Salle currently enrolls just over 1,000 students, and roughly 98% of the graduating class attend college.

The school is mostly recognized for its extraordinary football tradition. The team, currently coached by Bob Ladouceur, owned a record 151 game winning streak from 1992 to 2003, more than doubling the previous record of 72. During that span the team won 12 California North Coast Section championships and was named national champion in seven different years; once by ESPN - 1994, five times by USA Today - 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003, and 1999 by the National Sports News Service. The streak ended on September 4, 2004 against Bellevue High School of Bellevue, Washington, the streak is so far the longest in sports (high school college and pro).

The school has also received its share of criticism due to the fact that, as a private school, it is able to recruit the top players throughout the East Bay, gaining an advantage over other high school programs. De La Salle does not actively recruit, however, relying only on its name and reputation to recruit players from all over the region.

Though the school is all boys, it does share classes with the nearby all-girls school, Carondelet High School. The school is located next to the public Ygnacio Valley High School.

The school's basketball team also won the California Division 1 State Championship in 2000 and 2006.
