Ø 30 teams signed up at 10, 12, 14 and 16U divisions. Need more at 10U

League Format

Ø 10-20 games. Each team will determine the specific number they will play.

Ø Possibly schedule a home/away with each team. Balance home/away

Ø Games played M-Th. Could be on weekend if availability – up to coaches.

Ø League play should start around 4/14/12 and conclude around 7/3/12

Ø Post season tournament held on weeknights between 7/5 and 7/13/12

Ø Home team schedules and pays for umpire, field and game balls

Rules

Ø ASA Rules with free substitution and continuous batting order

Ø Pitching distance: 35’ at 10U, 40’ at 12U, 43’ at 14 & 16U

Ø 5 Run limit per inning except for the last inning which will be unlimited

Ø Time Limit TBD by coaches on at start of game

Ø 10U Only Stealing: One base per pitch, Double steal permitted, no stealing home, dropped 3^rd is in effect.

Ø Game schedules, results and standings will be posted

Ø Winning coaches must email results to commissioner (10, 12, 16U - Dominic; 14U - Chuck) following games

Ø Directions to fields will be provided (if you provide them to us)

Post Season Tournament

Ø Single elimination tournament

Ø Seeding based on winning %. Ties broken by head to head then coin flip

Ø Games will be played in Winfield between 7/5-7/12.

Ø Umpires will be provided

League Fees

Ø $125 league fee per team payable to Winfield Wolverines.

Ø Covers cost of post season fields, umpires and 1^st/2^nd place trophies or t-shirts

Ø Home team provides field, game balls and umpires
