Come celebrate our 5 Year Silver Anniversary!

2013 marks our 5 year anniversary and we're extremely excited about this year.

Many said that the community did not need another football organization.  We've become the fastest growing youth sports organizations in White Plains. Why?

Kids & Safety Come First!

We've kept to our mission of engaging children in this sport to have fun in a safe environment and to teach life lessons through participation in this great sport.

We’d like to say thank you, from our family at the White Plains Tigers Youth Football League, to you and yours, for your help and support since we establilshed in 2009.

Thanks and gratitude to the following people who have supported us from the beginning and in are a continued resource:
Dr. Christopher Clouet, Superintendent of White Plains Schools
Coach Skip Stevens, Head Football Coach White Plains High School & his staff.

We were able to engage over 200 children of the White Plains Community this past fall in 2012 in only our fourth year of our football program. We've grown tremendously and will continue to grow and welcome all from White Plains.

We made tremendous strides in becoming more competitive for a multitude of reason, first & foremost due to the fact that we coach our children in a consistent manner; from plays - formations, to conditioning to football terms used, all the way from the Flag Division into our Tackle Division and it really has paid dividends for us and will contribute to the high school very soon.

With your assistance and aid, and the White Plains Community behind us, we were able to follow our philosophy that youth football is more about personal development then winning or losing.

We've had the opportunity to help these children build character, self esteem and confidence, which we hope will transcend to most importantly academic success and improvement.

We host the Scarsdale Recreational Youth Football Super Bowl, where we administer an all day tournament of games as a finale to the season, where 20 teams from the SRYFL came to compete.

We started our 7th/8th Grade Team in 2011 and compete in the Westchester United Football League and it was a great experience.

Last year we started a 3rd grade tackle football division in a coordinated effort with Harrison Youth Football.

This was HUGE ! and a great success!

With with all of the focus on safety as of late and this as a great stepping stone in progressional development for players transitioning from flag football to tackle football, as young children will start out on the same equilibrium together as newcomers to tackle football.  Harrison Youth Football has been in operation for 50+ years and implemented this division of play last year to rave reviews by parents and coaches alike.  The transition from flag football to tackle football can be a challenge and sometimes an overwhelming experience for some.  This program allowed for more game time experience which is invaluable and allow enough time for our staff to ensure they are properly prepared fundamentally for the transition to this level of competition.

As the NFL ever so prominently and consciously promotes Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October, so did the White Plains Tigers Youth Football League by educating our players on this important topic and we wore pink apparel during our games to promote awareness. To that end we will continue to hold a presentation to Breast Cancer Survivors.  It's an important topic and we will continue all efforts on this front.

We plan to honor the young men and women serving our country again this year as well as past veteran's of our armed services on our SRYFL Super Bowl which is held right around the honoring of veterans days.

We have big plans for the 2012 season and we are expecting over 275+ participants between our tackle and flag programs this coming fall season.

It takes alot of committment from the volunteers and coaches of an organization to put aside their individual egos and idealogy, and follow a system, most importantly the WPHS system which we are confident we will impact in the future, with our players entering high school in the very near future.

In keeping with our mission of providing not only instruction and physical training for playing football we will continue to offer specific dates where we engage the children and provide concise educational sessions on such topics in 2012 as: Nutrition, Speed & Agility Training, Safety Awareness, Cultural Diversity, and Tiger Youth Football 101 Classes for Parents. And all new for 2012 - The Bully Project!
