YCJGSL MINOR TOURNAMENT RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION

1. This tournament is a league sponsored event. There is no entry fee for teams to participate.
2. The registration deadline is May 2, 2009. Contact the league President for registration notification.
3. All YCJGSL Minor Tournaments will use league rules except for the following tournament rules.
4. Roster regulations will be enforced. Do not use Major Division rostered players from sister teams. This is a league MINOR DIVISION TOURNAMENT for the league's MINOR DIVISION TEAMS.
5. The tournament format for all Minor Tournaments will be single elimination. Teams will be seeded in the order that they register to participate in the tournament. Later registering teams will play in the earliest round games.
6. All games will be 1 hour- 30 minute time limit from first pitch (no inning will start after the time limit is reached) or 7 innings, whichever comes first. The 1 hour-30 minute time limit will be a drop dead time only if the home team has the lead and is at bat in the bottom of the inning. If a game is tied after regulation, the International Tie Breaker Rule will go into effect each half inning thereafter.
7. The league's Minor Division 5-run limit per inning rule will be in effect for tournament play. Coaches must be aware that if their team falls behind by more than 5 runs near the end of a game, there is no unlimited runs scored in the last inning.
8. All games will be flip of a coin to determine choice of batting first or last.
9. The league will provide and pay for umpires.
10. The league will provide one new game ball for each game.
11. The league will provide team trophies and medals for all players of top four teams in each bracket.
12. The league will provide a "Player of the Game" award for every game played in all tournament brackets.  At the end of every game played, both teams will vote for a "Player of the Game" from the opposing team.
13. Good sportsmanship will be required of everyone in attendance at league events at all times. Anyone who fails to comply with ASA, USSSA, and YCJGSL sportsmanship/code of conduct policies, will be asked to leave the premises by the tournament director. Failure to do so in a timely manner will be cause for game forfeiture of the team that the individual represents.
14. Some teams may have to play back-to-back games at times. Every effort will be made to give teams and players a break if and when needed. However, we must request that teams avoid excessive delays during and between games.
15. Protests, problems, or other issues that arise before, during, or after any game will be resolved by the tournament director. Any final say will be determined by the league President should a tournament director need help or advise concerning any situation.
