General Information The 3rd Annual Kolton B. Gunn Memorial Softball Tournament will be held this year on June 6-7 in Canaan, NH. Once again I am asking for donations from the community for raffle items or monetary donations. Kolton's parents are both residents of Enfield, so they see it fit for the proceeds from the raffle and the tournament to go directly to the Kolton B. Gunn Scholarship Fund at Mascoma High School. As many of you know, Kolton was taken from us way too soon at only nine months of age. The past two years we have had tremendous support and success. TENTATIVE Rules: If you have suggestions please feel free to let me know. 1. $200 entry fee for each team, I am asking for 50.00 deposit by May 17th. Please contact me on how to get this to me. Your team will not have a confirmed spot until that has been received. 2. Every team is starting with a warning. Due to issues the past two years we felt this needs to be put in place. Every team must designate a captain and that person will be identified before each game at the coin toss. If there are issues then the designated captain will talk to the umpire, or Brandon or I. The umpire, Brandon or I have the right to eject a player from the game or tournament at anytime. This player will be asked to leave the grounds. 3. This is a 7 and 3 tournament. Teams must field 3 women at all times. For each women short the team will play a man down or take an out. 4. This is NOT open roster. You can add a player if they have not played for another team. 5. Each team MUST provide one umpire for the following game, if your team has a issue with who the designated umpire is for your game please discuss with Brandon or Karry before the start of your game. 6. We will be using the female line, each player must be behind that line until the ball is hit. 7. No throwing a player out at first from the outfield 8. Players go to bat with a 1-1 count. Batters with 2 strikes may foul off one ball, but the next is a strikeout. If a male batter is walked and a female batter is the next batter he advances to 2nd and the female batter begins with a 2-1 count. 9. Pitches 6-12 feet. 10. The runner when scoring or defender when making a force out at home may either tag home plate or the mat behind the plate. 11. No more than 3 males hitting consecutively in the lineup. 12. Each team is allowed an EH but must be one male AND one female maximum. 13. Mercy rule-15 runs after 5 innings, 10 runs after 6. 14. Each team must be at the field 45 minutes prior to designated start time. Game will start no later than 5 minutes after designated start time, if your team is not ready you while either forfeit or play short until your players have arrived. 15. 3 home runs, any after that is a single. 16. NO alcohol on the field or in the dugout. 17. All players must be 18 or older. 18. For ladies, any ASA Certified 2004 stamp is legal. For men, no hi-tech bats that help the ball jump off the bat quicker, this includes C500, C555, C5000 series aluminum, 600 or 6000 series aluminum, scandium aluminum, double or triple wall bats, C405EST and composite (barrel or handle). 19.
