Welcome to the home of the
United Brooklyn Baseball League
|
You don't have to travel to Long Island, Staten Island or the Bronx to play great baseball. Why spend more time & money to play LESS BASEBALL?
The UBBL will be starting our Fall baseball season on September 10th. The UBBL offers a 20 game fall schedule for what other leagues charge for 10 games. Why pay more in league fees and travel expenses to play in other leagues? By playing in the UBBL, you can save money and play more baseball against the best teams in Brooklyn. It's simple, you can spend your time and money playing the game, not traveling to and from the game. The UBBL is open to ballplayers 17 years of age and older. All of our the teams are comprised of college, post college and former minor league ballplayers.
All of our weekend time slots are for 1pm starts, and our night games are 7:00pm starts.
TO ALL GENERAL MANAGERS, MANAGERS, COACHES AND TEAM CAPTAINS!
The next league meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at 9pm. All teams MUST send a team representitive to this meeting. Topics for discussion will be, summer season championship, season review and fall schedules.
The meeting will be held at the Parkville Youth Organization fieldhouse, 854 65th Street at 9pm sharp.

The United Brooklyn Baseball League is open to any team of baseball players 17 years of age and older. The UBBL is dedicated to offering top-flight and competitive teams a well supervised and structured environment. It's our hope that by creating a healthy baseball program, it will give the young men of Brooklyn the desire to focus on the positive aspects of organized sports. If a young man is focused on becoming the best baseball player he can be, it will leave him little interest or desire to fall prey to "other distractions".
The UBBL was formed by team owners and managers who wanted to bring MINOR LEAGUE style baseball back to the ballfields of Brooklyn. The managers and coaches in the UBBL try to find players who are talented, but were tripped up by life. Most times, personal troubles or poor school grades keep ballplayers from a chance at a college education or beyond. In just 4 short years, the UBBL has helped numerous young men sort out their lives, get their GED's, and go on to college. Through the hard work and dedication of the UBBL staff, we've been able to send 6 of our players onto careers in the Minor Leagues.
Throughout the glory days of baseball's past, Major League baseball scouts were assigned to the ballfields of Brooklyn. The MLB scouts were in search of the next Gil Hodges or Peewee Reese. The UBBL has turned back the clock and has brought the MLB scouts back to Brooklyn. Several of the teams in the UBBL have developed working relationships with Major League baseball scouts and the Major League Scouting Bureau.
