Warrington Soccer Club

Intramural Rain Out Policy

  1. In the absence of any announcement, you should assume games are to be played as scheduled.
  2. Rain outs are declared by a committee formed by members of the Board of Directors. Decisions regarding rain outs take into consideration the weather forecast, potential for field damage, and of course, the safety of the children.
  3. Rain outs will be announced on 215-491-GOAL (4625) and on our website at www.warrington-soccer.com at least 1 hour before game time. That announcement always has a date and time in the recording. If you hear an old announcement, then games are not cancelled.
  4. It is the responsibility of the coaches to check 215-491-GOAL or on our website www.warrington-soccer.com and communicate any cancellations to your team. Parents, please wait to hear from a coach. If you do not hear from a coach, you should assume your game is on (or you can check 215-491-GOAL or our website www.warrington-soccer.com).
  5. The first rainout will not be made up. Second and subsequent rainout's will be rescheduled on the club website.
  6. Coaches and referees should use their best judgment if the weather is questionable at game time, or changes during the game. For age groups without referees, coaches may cancel by mutual decision, but if the league has not cancelled, this decision must be made at the field. Coaches are not permitted to contact each other and cancel prior to game time. Your parents are probably calling 215-491-GOAL or checking the website and will know the league did not cancel.
  7. For age groups where a referee is supplied by the league, the referee is responsible for cancellations with less than an hour to game time.
  8. If there is nearby (loud) thunder, or you see lightning, all games should be stopped immediately and the children sent home.
  9. If you are part of the Joint Intramural League, playing another club at our location (a home game), and we cancel our games, you must contact the opposing coach and communicate the cancellation.
  10. If you are part of the Joint Intramural League, playing another club at their location (an away game), you must contact the other coach for cancellation information. Our cancellations (or lack of) have no bearing on other club's cancellations.
