The Five Cities Extreme (10U) take home first place trophies in the Templeton tournament on Sunday June 14! They played SLO Fusion, Atascadero, King City and finally Coast in the championship game.

Tournament directors table will be at Soto Sports Complex
Near Pilg and Ikeda fields.
We will have a snack bar at Soto Sports Complex near Pilg and
Ikeda fields, serving tri-tip sandwiches, snacks, drinks, linguisa sandwiches and hot dogs.
We will also have snack bars at Don Roberts, Ekbom field and
Campbell field with the same items.
Tournament and other t-shirts, shorts and sweatshirts will be available for sale at a booth at Soto Sports Complex. Airbrushing also available at Soto Sports Complex.

5CGS will be selling fireworks in the Von's parking lot at the corner of Oak Park and Grand Avenue!

The Five Cities Patriots win the championship game on Sunday June 7, 2009. The sun was setting but the game went to 7 innings, with the Patriots coming from behind to win the championship game!

Five Cities Girls Softball - Get Involved!
Five Cities Girls Softball is seeking out enthusiastic individuals to join our organization. The 2008-2009 Board has many new faces and we are looking for several more. Positions on the Board, 2009 Team Managers or Coaches and several other volunteer positions are available. If you want to be part of the action, contact any current Board member or the drop a line to the league email to let us know.
Ace Certification
All ACE Certification trainings are now online. Under LINKS you can get to this website.
Attention all Coaches: Anyone who is interacting on the field (or sitting in a dugout) must be ACE trained BEFORE the season begins. Once you are ACE trained, please wear your ACE card with the lanyard at all games and practices. This an ASA rule and must be followed by every league.

EQUIPMENT -- FAQ
Bat Size:
•Correct Length - Put the head of the bat on the ground and bat handle should fit in the inside crease of the girl's wrist.
•Correct Weight - The difference between the weight and the length should be: (- 10 to - 12). Example 27''/17oz, 30''/19oz. Use a bat that’s light enough for the player to EASILY CONTROL and the Bat Head does not drop down during the swing.
•Player should be able to hold the bat straight out from her body without the end dropping down.
