Hey all you RIP fans....yell it out and ROCK the stands, Go RIP, Go RIP, Go Go Go RIP!!!

99 Texas Rip is a new up and coming fastpitch softball team. This team consists of a great group of young ladies and parents that love the game of softball. These young ladies have already learned so much about fastpitch in a short amount of time. We know that fall will be a great one, and with the big hearts and the strong will that our girls have,we hope to be one of the teams to beat come spring. We plan on growing as a team together and having a lot of fun while doing it. See you on the dirt!!!!!!

    A Coaches Prayer

BUILD ME AN ATHLETE who will be strong enough to know when she is weak and have enough to face herself when she is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat and humble and gentle in victory.
BUILD ME AN ATHLETE whose wishbone will not be where her backbone should be, an athlete who will know YOU and that to know herself is the foundation stone of knowledge, Lead her, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort, but under the stress and spur of difficulties and challenge. Here let her learn to stand up in the storms; here let her learn compassion for those who fall.
BUILD ME AN ATHLETE who`s heart will be clear, whose goals will be high; an athlete who will master herself before she seeks to master others; one who will learn to laugh, yet never forget how to weep; one who will reach into the future, yet never forget the past. And after all these things are hers, add I pray, enough of a sense of humor never to take herself too seriously. Give her humility, so that she may always remember the simplicity of true greatness, the open mind of true wisdom, the meekness of true strength. Then, I, her coach, will dare to whisper, "I have not lived in vain."

    Fastpitch Player

The Fastpitch Player, once upon a time, looked cute as a button dressed in pink, with pony tails. She had tea parties with her stuffed animals and dolls, and she helped Mom bake cookies. She has been, and always will be, Daddy's and Mommy's little girl.

The Fastpitch Player today still has the same little girl attributes. The only difference is she looks cute in her sliders and shorts. If she's wearing ribbons in her hair, they are the team colors. She has become Mommy's and Daddy's little hitter.

The Fastpitch Player is proud of how dirty she can get. On a normal family dinner outing, she takes up to an hour primping to get ready, and she still feels somewhat self-conscious. However, between tournament games she'll strut into any restaurant with a streak of dirt across her face, matted sweaty hair, dirt stained shirt, bloody knees and brown socks (that used to be white) in sandals with a toe sticking out, and yell "Let's eat!!"

The Fastpitch Player typically has an extensive wardrobe. She has several old uniforms which she has outgrown but has not discarded because, well you never know. She has several hundred tee shirts and boxer shorts from camps, leagues and tournaments from around the country. When her parents say wear something nice, she wears something from a National event.

The Fastpitch Player needs to get a scholarship, because her parents are broke from spending thousands of dollars paying for camps, batting lessons, catching lessons, pitching lessons, hotel rooms, out to eat between tournament games, league fees, the new bat, the new glove, etc, etc....

The Fastpitch Player has more spirit than any other sport. She'll go home hoarse from cheering and rooting her team on into the final innings. She plays the sport for all the right reasons, she loves the game. She could spend the weekend watching TV or hanging out at the mall with her non-sport friends, because her sport friends are all at a tournament somewhere. But she chooses to spend her weekend in the 100 degree heat, waiting to get into the game.

The Fastpitch Player is diligent and hard-working. She knows the value of hard work. She understands that you get out of something what you put in. She is competitive and doesn't give up easily. She learns teamwork and spirit. Most of all she learns to respect all, but fear none.

Remember all Texas Rip players, school always comes before softball. Be sure to listen to your teachers, pay attention in class, do all your work, and make those good grades! On 99 Texas Rip a good education will always come before softball, and remember if your getting in trouble in school or not making the grades, "NO PASS, NO PLAY"

    A BALL PLAYERS PRAYER
God grant me wisdom, to tella strike from a ball,
to know where to throw and never to fall.

Keep me always in the base line, running straight
    and true
and I'll look for your sign, to stretch one into two.

God give me vision, to see every pitch,
so if a player needs help, I will see which.

Let me always hustle, so I will be at my best,
take pride in myself, in sports and the rest.

God be my strength, when I throw the ball,
when I'm far from home plate or against the wall.

So I never miss a base, please guide my feet,
bring me home safely, so my job is complete.

When I help other players, let me always give
    praise,
so they'll see you in me, in all of my ways.

Please guide our coach, to be fair and smart,
let him teach me to be good, let it come from his
    heart.

Let me take a loss, just as well as a win,
to do any less is surely a sin.

As long as I can play, let me make my parents proud,
as proud as I am,when they yell my name out loud.

However my games end, let me always have fun,
and If heaven has all-stars, I'd like to be one.

When my games here are over and my seasons are done,
let me play on your TEAM, just like your son.
    Amen
