Typical of a McDowell / Reynolds game, the cards and fouls were plentiful. A red card send off for a McDowell player late in the second half helped seal the deal for the Rockets. Goalkeeper Devon Suskauer came up with 6 big saves to preserve the shutout for the Rockets. The team has finished the first half of conference play with a perfect 6-0-0 record and an overall record of 13-2-0.

Rockets Knock Off Watauga in Crazy OT Affair
The Rockets and the Pioneers got together for the final time in their storied history of Northwestern 4A Conference play, and it was one for the ages. The first half was relatively tame. Watauga got a goal in the 52nd minute and another in the 60th minute to take a 2-0 lead. Senior captain Eric Vorst put the Rockets on the board with 18 minutes to play when he buried a shot into the upper corner of the goal. Ten minutes later, junior forward Eddie Darii beat three defenders and was dragged down in the box to earn a penalty kick. Eddie then finished the PK and the game was tied. With 2 minutes remaining, Watauga earned a free kick on the edge of the box and converted after it deflected off of a Rockets defender's head. Facing a 3-2 deficit with 20 seconds remaining, junior defender Taylor Ruscoe sent a 60 yard free kick soaring into the area. The ball fell right to Eddie Darii's head and he pushed into the net to tie the game with 18 seconds remaining and sent it into overtime. In the two 10 minute overtime periods, junior forward Sean Allison wasted no time in scoring what would be the game winner in the first minute of extra time. Eddie Darii would add another goal to get his hat trick and then he would set up Eric Vorst for the final goal in the 96th minute to stake the Rockets to a 6-3 overtime win over the Pioneers.
