C.J. Keefe tournament scheduled for Sunday, July 19th
C.J. KEEFE TOURNAMENT: Sunday, July 19th at St. Benedict Community Center and surrounding courts. Registration is 8 a.m. and play starts at 9 a.m. The two tournaments are men's pick out of the hat six-man and women's is four-player teams. For the women's tournament you are allowed to have six players on your roster and there is a limit of 10 teams. The cost is $10 per person. TOURNAMENT AT SEVEN SPRINGS: Justin Haupt is running a men's and women's doubles tournament on sand courts at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. The date is Saturday, July 11th, starting at 10 a.m. Cost is $30 per team. Winners get a cash prize. If you want more information, contact Justin at (814) 243-0571.
BABY ON THE WAY: Speaking of Eric and Alanna Sowers, they are expecting their first child on Aug. 4. They know they are having a boy. Congratulations Eric and Alanna. We are so happy for you. Now you have 14 years to get a boys' volleyball program back at Cambria Heights.
VOLLEYBALLS FOR SALE: I have a few Wilson official AVP volleyballs for sale. They are the official ball at that sells at AVP tournaments for $60. You can buy on Internet for $48 plus shipping which takes price up to at least $55. I have these volleyballs for sale for $45.
