All registration are taken at the recreation department located at 37 East Woodrow Ave, Belmont, NC 28012. Normal office hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am - 12pm.

AGE GROUPS AND DIVISIONS
AGE GROUPS:
Machine Pitch: cannot turn 9 before and must be 6 by May 1, 2010
9-10: cannot turn 11 before May 1, 2010
11-12: cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2010
COACHES NEEDED
The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed. Head coaches will get a discount on the registration fee if they signup to coach at the time they register their child.
DRAFT/MEETING
A. Draft/meeting date is as follows:
Machine Pitch: Monday August 3 at 6:30pm at Reid Field
9-10: Tuesday August 4 at 6pm at Reid Field
11-12: Tuesday August 4 at 7:30pm at Reid Field
B. All players must come to the draft. Bring your glove, cleats, etc just like it was a practice. If a player does not attend the draft they will be blind drafted.
PRACTICES/GAMES
A. Practices will begin after the draft.
B. Games are set up by the Gaston Co Cal Ripken League. Schedules will be distributed as soon as the recreation department receives them.
C. The league may consist of teams from Belmont, Ranlo, Cramerton, Gastonia, and McAdenville.
FEES
A. The registration fee is $35 in-city and $60 out-of-city per player and it covers the players’ shirt, hat, trophy, and an end of season party. This fee does not include socks, pants, or glove.
B. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops after this point the uniform, trophy, and end of season will be forfeited.
FUNDRAISERS
A. Picture Button Sales: These can be purchased from the recreation department approximately a week after pictures have been taken. The cost of the button will be 2 for $5. We will only have buttons for players that take individual pictures on picture day.
B. T-shirt sales: Each team will have an order form to order team t-shirts for parents or sibling (the players uniform is included with the registration fee). This will be a t-shirt in the same color as your child’s team and same logo. The cost of the t-shirts will be $10 for S-XL, $11 for XXL, and $12 for XXXL. Youth sizes are also available for $10. The deadline to order shirts will be Friday March 13.
SPONSORSHIP
A. Anyone or business interested in sponsoring a team please contact the Belmont Parks & Recreation Dept.
B. Sponsors will get their name on the back of the jersey, a link or recognition on the website, and a sponsor plaque to display in their home or business.
C. Money raised through fundraisers and sponsorships will be used to offset expenses of the program.

Game Rescheduled
The game scheduled for Monday June 15 between the 3-4 Terps vs. 3-4 Allstars has been moved to Thursday July 2 at 6pm.
Belmont Rec Day at the Gastonia Grizzlies Game
The Belmont Parks and Recreation Dept has set up two days at the Gastonia Grizzlies game for the Machine Pitch and Tball programs. Anyone in Belmont can purchase tickets to these two game for a discount of just $4 per ticket and can purchase meal tickets for $3 per ticket (meal tickets include a hot dogs, chips, and drink). The players in the Machine Pitch and Tball teams will receive a free admission ticket just indicate on the order form how many tickets are needed. The order form can be download from this website just go to the menu to the left and click on Grizzlies Game Tickets. Additional information is there also.

DRAFT/MEETING
A. Draft/meeting date is as follows:
Little Tot and T Ball: Head coaches meeting only will be held on TBD. Little Tot a TBD and T Ball at TBD at the rec. dept.
Players and parents meeting will be as follows:
3-4 Little Tots: TBD at Davis Park Field
5-6 T Ball: TBD at 7pm at Davis Park Field
Players will meet their teammates and coaches at this meeting and some information will be given out.
Teams will be posted on the website at www.belmontparksandrec.com then click on the baseball link.

B. Little Tot T-Ball and T-Ball games shall begin TBD with a preseason kickoff and the season shall end approx. TBD. Players will receive their uniforms at the preseason kickoff.
C. Games will general be on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday but other days may be used if needed. Makeup games will be made up as soon as possible and could possibly be any day of the week.
D. Game schedules will be handed out Saturday June 6 or at the first practice after that.
