Adult Softball Leagues
Register the month of March 2009
Open, church, and Co ed leagues
Ages: 15 and up
Fees:
$35 in city $45 out of city (individuals)
All registrations are taken at the recreation department located at 37 East Woodrow Ave, Belmont, NC 28012. Normal office hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am - 12pm.

SPRING 2010 SEASON
AGE GROUPS AND DIVISIONS
AGE GROUPS: 10 and under cannot turn 11 before December 31, 2009
12 and under cannot turn 13 before December 31, 2009
14 and under cannot turn 15 before December 31, 2009
COACHES NEEDED
The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed. Head coaches will get a discount on the registration fee if they signup to coach at the time they register their child.
DRAFT
A. For the purpose of being fair to all participants and coaches, players returning from the 2009 Spring season can choose to return to their same team but it must be noted on the registration form. Draft/meeting dates are as follows:
10 and under: TBD
12 and under: TBD
14 and under: TBD
All players need to come to the draft ready to play with all equipment (such as glove, cleats, etc.).
B. A COACHES ONLY meeting will be held on TBD at the Belmont Recreation Dept.
C. Exemption(s): Carpooling exemptions are not allowed for any divisions.
1. Head coach son/daughter.
2. Sibling(s)
3. Relative that is the reason a coach is coaching (ex. An aunt is coaching for her niece)
PRACTICES/GAMES
A. Practice will begin the week after the draft/meeting date.
B. Games will begin approximately middle of April.
C. The league has not been determined. It will either be in the City of Gastonia league or a league with area towns.
FUNDRAISERS
A. Picture Button Sales: These can be purchased from the recreation department approximately a week after pictures have been taken. The cost of the button will be 2 for $5. We will only have buttons for players that take individual pictures on picture day.
FEES
A. The registration fee is $35 in city and $60 out of city per player and it covers the players’ shirt, pants, trophies, end of season party, officials, equipment, field usage and any maintenance. The fee does not include visor/hat, shoes or glove.
Please help us keep the parks clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.
