Competition Season was AWESOME! You all claimed your many titles and 2 National Champ wins! STATES - You earned a 433 in Semi Finals and 373 in finals! Going into Finals as the 1st place team was unbelievable! The only team from Broward County to beat that score in finals was Cardinal Gibbons -- in the non-tumbling division 395 Semi Finals and 437 Finals. Douglas did good too 402 Semi Finals and 393 in Finals. Congrats to all Broward Teams.
2/19/2009 - Coral Glades High cheerleaders win MTV contest
They'll attend the premier of Fired Up as VIP guests! Watch for them on NBC6 MORNING SHOW and DECO DRIVE FRIDAY 2/20/2009!
Coral Glades High School's cheerleaders are the "ultimate cheerleading champions," at least according to MTV.
Members of the Coral Springs high school's cheerleading squad were told Wednesday that their team was the grand prize winner in an MTV contest that coincides with the release of the movie "Fired Up!"
They will win $5,000 and attend the movie's local premier, School Board member Stephanie Kraft announced at Wednesday's school board meeting.
The Coral Glades Jaguars were among 24 finalists for the grand prize, and won after a week of online voting on MTV's web site.
