Game Summaries
1-0 win v Kinnelon
This was one of the better games that we have played against the first place team. In the first half, Bridget shut down the goal with some great defensive help from Burnsie and Anna. In the second half, early on, Orna scored a goal while Morgan helped preserve the vicory in net. Megan and Maddie worked the sidelines masterfully in a great effort.
1-0 loss v Caldwell
Strong Mother's day effort. Tori played an aggressively as did Alex and Kristen. Sara and Julia had good runs, but came up a bit unlucky. Overall a good effort...we will get them next time.
2-2 tie v Kinnelon
Krista and Orna had very nice goals against a very strong team. Maddie looked extremely tough on the wing while Kristen continued to exert herself as a force in the middle. Morgan handled the ball really well and Keelin knocked some great bombs to establish excellent field position.
2-0 win over Mt Olive
Julia and Megan scored in a dominating win. At last check, the Mt Olive goalie is finally recovering from all the bruises! Alex R helped stabilize the middle and even played defense. Chelsea was a strong force for the entire game. Bridget also showed her toughness on defense and in the goal. Alex P moved the ball around to her Striker friends helping to set up shot opportunities!
1-1 tie v Hanover
Orna had a very long goal, while Anna shut down the net in the first half. Burnsie and Tori had great games in defense. Sara had a couple of opportunities that just missed the mark :(. All around a very good effort against the team that won the flight last year!
