American Martyrs - CYO Champions Again!
A Perfect Double - Girls Volleyball
The 2008 CYO Girls Volleyball Playoffs concluded on Sunday at St. Joseph High School in Lakewood the same way it did last year. American Martyrs of Manhattan Beach won their second consecutive CYO championship defeating St. Thomas the Apostle of Los Angeles in two games. American Martyrs completed a perfect season, not only not losing a match but not losing a single game this season. St. Thomas the Apostle, who won the title in 2006, was making its third consecutive Final Four appearance. Holy Family of South Pasadena defeated Corpus Christi of Pacific Palisades in the 3rd place game in two games.
