East Islip Ice Hockey Club

|
Welcome to the East Islip Ice Hockey Club for 2009-2010. We invite all members and fans to be a part of one the premier ice hockey organizations on Long Island. We consist of almost 80 players from the East Islip & Islip School Districts.
Monthly Tuition reminder:
July is here! For those who have not yet started, it may be a good idea to start making monthly payments on your child's tuition. Some of you already have made additional installments and will be paid up sooner. Paying over the Summer months will cut down on your debt quickly and enable you to be paid up on time. Last season many of you owed large balances around the holidays and this is what we are trying to avoid. At this time, we have not received the SCHSHL fee schedule, so we do have an exact figure for the tuition for each team. If everyone would start making a payment of $125/month, it will keep us up to date. Once we get the League figures, we will set up a regular payment schedule. Those who feel they will need to be put on an extended payment plan should contact me, so we can work out a schedule of payments.
Thanks,
G. Kersting - Treasurer

Please click the link on the left menu bar item for NEW and IMPORTANT updates on The East Islip Ice Hockey Children's Fund ....
ALL PLAYERS:
January 4, 2009
Full equipment is required, that means mouth piece and neck guard. The league has a strict no jewelry rule. Please leave it at home the night of your game. The referees are cracking down on the wearing of the mouth guard, no mouth guard means a 2 and 10. Shooting the puck after the buzzer is a 10 minute penalty.
Please have the courtesy to call your coach if you are unable to make a practice or game. All phone numbers are listed on the side menu bar.
Practice time is to be used by the specified team only!! No other players are to enter the ice unless asked by the coaches to join them.
ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS/PARENTS (UPDATED)
February 18, 2009
All Players, Parents & Coaches, please take time to read over our updated By-Laws to become familiar with the rules of our club.
If a player or parent has a complaint about ANYTHING, our By-Laws state that you should first bring it up with your Team Rep (parent) who will contact our GM to bring the board together on it. A player with a problem can discuss it with the coach. It is best not to do this during a game when the coach may not have your full attention. Also realize that if you wait till the next day, you may see things differently than you did during a game.
As you all may know, we are here to play hockey and not to fool around in the lockers or the lobby area. Anyone that feels they can't abide by our club guidelines should not be a member in this club.
Our Code of Conduct Agreement was setup as a means to let everyone know that the club is serious about the way we handle ourselves in this league. This agreement will be read and signed by everyone in the club.
The league has informed us that under NO circumstance can a parent enter the ice. If your child needs you, an authorized person will escort you onto the ice. Coaches are also asked to stay on the bench unless called over. According to League rules, only authorized people may enter the locker rooms. No parent may enter a locker room. Only personnel that had a NYS Screening form approved may enter a locker room.
If you need to bring your child equipment, etc.. you can knock on the door and have someone bring it to them.
A friendly reminder that The Rinx has a policy that no outside food or beverages are allowed in the facility. The snack bar is there for this purpose.
