Congratulations Ali and Marisa!!!
Congratulations to Alison Jaeger, former Mohawk,and daughter of current Mohawks Coach Tom Jaeger for earning NCAA Division III FIRST TEAM ALL AMERICA Honors. Ali is completing her sophomore year at The College of New Jersey and was tabbed by INSIDE LACROSSE as the DIII Rookie of the Year in 2008.
Also, congratulations to Marisa Tomsky, a sophomore at NHHS who lead her team in scoring this season, for earning Honorable Mention All Skylands Conference in a division that is filled with top twenty teams and leading scorers in the state.
About the Hunterdon Mohawks Lacrosse Club
The purpose of the Hunterdon Lacrosse Club shall be to introduce, promote, develop, administer, and instruct players and coaches in the progression of youth Lacrosse. The emphasis shall focus on FUN and learning the game of lacrosse at all grades and also preparing children in grades six, seven and eight to compete at the high school level and beyond. Participants will also be encouraged to compete to their fullest potential so they can play the game the way it was meant to be played, with passion. Winning is a by-product of the recreational activity rather than the only product. Participants and coaches of the Hunterdon Lacrosse Club shall not adhere to the philosophy of winning at any cost.
Philosophies shared by U. S. Lacrosse and the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) at Stanford University are the foundation coaches are expected to adopt and use to ensure all participants have a positive learning experience and the objectives of the program, stated above can be achieved. All players and coaches are also expected to abide by the US Lacrosse Code of Conduct, US Lacrosse Rules for Boys and or US Lacrosse Rules for Girls.
The following children in grades three through eight are eligible to participate in the club:
• Boys in Clinton Township, Town of Clinton, Lebanon Boro and Franklin Township.
• Girls in the North Hunterdon sending district.
