    Hillary Baugh Inks with PJC
    Hillary Baugh signed to play volleyball at Paris Junior College. The 2008 senior will join the PJC squad for 3-a-day practices in August in Paris.

    Hillary Baugh Earns Most Outstanding Player Honor
    Volleyball Awards Hillary Baugh earned the team’s Most Outstanding Player voted on by her peers, District 13-1A Offensive Player of the Year and Texas Sportswriters Association All-State Honorable Mention. She will continue her volleyball career at Paris Junior College in the fall. This senior Outside Hitter led the team with 146 digs, 143 aces, setting a career mark of 16 against Lucas Christian, and 269 kills in 2007.

    D. Allen Hilsdon has resigned as head volleyball coach and will not lead the Lady Tigers into the Spring season. Those duties have been assigned to Scott Nichols, who will lead the team into the 2008 season.

    Baugh Leads Lady Tigers in All-District Honors
    District 13-1A All-District November 11, 2007 Hillary Baugh led the Lady Tigers in All-District Honors as Offensivle Player of the Year. Baugh led the Lady Tigers' 6 players with honors. Baugh, a Senior Outside Hitter, led the Lady Tigers with 269 kills, 146 digs (11 v. each Collinsville and Lindsay) and 143 aces (16 v. Lucas Christian Academy). She also accounted for 110 assists in one-half rotation as setter with 11 v. Gunter High School. Baugh shared the role as Team Captain with her only fellow classmate on the squad, Ashley Smith, who also received honors.
    The 1st Team All-District Team showed youth in the program with Sophomore Joyce Garrison and Freshman Marla Frazier. Garrison, a Middle Hitter, set career marks in blocks (95), digs (120), and assists (120). Garrison's jump served led her to 68 aces while playing a new role in the middle of the net. Frazier, a Setter, was unsure where she would be played early in the season, but gelled into the setter role early and set a new Freshman and THS single-season record with 678 assists. The first year player stepped up against the toughest of competition with career nights against both Lindsay and Detroit with 50 assists. She also ripped 5 kills against Lindsay, another career high.
    The 2nd Team was led by Smith, an Outside Hitter, and Junior Middle Hitter Shelby Proctor. Proctor stepped into a new role and made the best of her 5'5" stature with 49 blocks and 166 assists. She set career marks in kills with 3 each against ranked teams - Lindsay and Wolfe City. Smith returned for her senior season after being selected All-District as a Junior and set career marks in blocks (7 v. Wolfe City), digs (6) and assists (5 v. Collinsville).
    Kassie Pennington was the only player earning Honourable Mention. The Junior Setter had an interesting season, starting out as a Middle Hitter, the looking to move to Libero before suffering a knee injury early in the year. Pennington came back to find herself in a setters role and stepped up with a season total of 328 assists and career night with 32 against Savoy. She also set a career high with 4 digs against Collinsville, while playing the 7th-man off the bench for the Lady Tigers and the 2nd setter in the 6-2 offense.
    The Lady Tigers' classroom success was recognized with 7 players earning Academic All-District. Those players having a career GPA of 95 or above were Baugh, Garrison, Frazier, Smith, Proctor, Casey Beezley and No. 5.
