Minnesota Sting Elite Takes 2nd at ASA 18A Nationals in Moline, Illinois

The Minnesota Sting Elite Finished 2nd out of 120 teams at ASA 18A Nationals in Moline, Illinois. The Sting Elite Finished the year 52-8-1 and won both the MMFL and MSF 18A State Championships!
Sammy Holien Gives Verbal Commitment to D1 NDSU
The Sting is proud to announce that Sammy Holien has made a verbal commitment to NDSU. Sam help lead her Forest Lake high school team to a 5th place finish last spring at the MN High School League State Tournament. Sam also lead her summer 92 Sting team, a 15U group, to a 2nd place finish in the 18U AFA Nationals. Congratulations Sammy!!!!
15U MN 92 Sting takes 2nd place at 18U AFA "A" Nationals
MN 92 Sting played solid college like softball winning 3 games against 18U state champions, Canada's best from Manitoba, Dakato Wild, Diamonds from MO. and an 18U club team from MN.
The Irish Gold 18U team beat the 15U group in the National AFA 18U championship game by a score of 2-1.
Congrats on finishing 2nd, playing up against kids 3 years older. What an accomplishment.
Sting 93 Wins NAFA 14U National Championship
On July 25, Minnesota Sting 93 won the 14U NAFA National Tournament in Crown Point, Indiana. The 93's went 10 - 1 in the tournament and had to win five straight seven-inning games on the 25th to claim the title. Congratulations Sting 93!!!
MN Sting 94 WIN USSSA 13U World Series in St. Louis
On Saturday, July 19, Minnesota Sting 94 won the USSSA 13U World Series in St. Louis, Missouri by going undefeated in all nine games they played. Congratulations Sting 94!!!
Sting Elite Win State Tournament
On Sunday, July 20, Sting Elite defeated the Minnesota Renegades Black to claim first place in the MMFL Elite State Tournament. Congratulations to Minnesota Sting Elite - Minnesota State Champs!!!
Sting Elite and Stars Finish First and Second In Sioux Falls
Sting Elite and Sting Stars finished first and second at the 18U Sioux Falls National Qualifier on June 15. Sting 92 finished fourth in 16U play. Also on June 15, Sting 93 won the 16U Grand Slam tournament in Lakeville and Sting 94 took second in the 14U Down 'n Dirty in Eagan.
Minnesota Sting Fastpitch Softball
Minnesota Sting is a premier independent non-profit girls fastpitch softball club. Its teams play in various leagues in Minnesota throughout the year and also routinely travel outside the state to compete in regional and national tournaments. The Sting travel to exciting places such as Colorado, Las Vegas, Florida, and California to play in the country's top college recruiting tournaments and showcases. Sting teams consistently rank among the state's very top teams at each age level. The Sting also has a growing reputation for its ability to prepare players for all levels of college softball.
Sting players are girls that are interested in playing softball at the highest level giving them the needed challenge, experience, knowledge, and exposure to achieve their softball goals. Elite fastpitch players from many different communities in the Twin Cities metro area and Greater Minnesota are drawn to the Sting because of its excellent coaching and player development, its highly competitive teams, and because playing for the Sting is fun.
Minnesota Sting will field seven teams for the summer 2008 season; Sting Elite, Sting Stars, TC Sting, Sting 92, Sting 93, Sting 94, and Sting 23U. The club will be adding a Sting 95 team (for girls born in 1995) to begin play in fall 2008.
