18U Mountain West Crush finished the Capital City Classic Tournament 2-2-2 Record and came away with the second place trophy.
VANESSA SHAW WRAPS UP STELLAR COLLEGIATE CAREER
MWC Crush 14-U assistant coach Vanessa Shaw wrapped up her college career at Northwest Nazarene University on May 2nd. Vanessa leave's NNU as the schools all time leader in career home runs, walks, doubles and games played. She was named the schools outstanding softball player for the second time and has been named to the GNAC all conference team three times. Vanessa's 41 career doubles is 4th all time in conference history. She also has school records for doubles (15) and home runs (8) in a season
On May 4th, the NCAA Division 2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its 2009 all conference team and Vanessa was named second team all conference at second base. She was also named to the Academic All-Conference team for the third time.
Vanessa graduated "Cum Laude" with degrees in Accounting and Business Management with a 3.69 GPA on May 10th. She will be back on the diamond helping coach MWC 14-U this summer. Vanessa has been accepted into graduate school at Montana State University and will continue her education there in the fall of 2009.
