Thank You to our Volunteer Coaches
MYS is grateful to our committed and caring volunteer coaches giving countless hours of their time off the fields and courts to attending coaches clinics, researching drills, preparing practice plans and learning the rules of the game...and, on the fields and courts providing a structured environment for instructing the fundamental technical and tactical skills to our youth athletes in a positive and rewarding environment.

The Past ~ Present ~ Future of Molalla Youth Sports
Founded in 1981 by community members committed to all youth, Molalla Youth Sports, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that functions similar to a tax funded Parks and Recreation District, yet we rely on registration fees, sponsorships and donations to operate 14 youth athletic programs year-round.
In our 28th year, on behalf of the youth and families we serve, MYS respectfully requests your support in sponsoring our communities’ youth sports programs, while at the same time advertising your business.
In 2008, MYS had 106 teams with 260 head and assistant coaches, 32 programs’ representatives and committee members (MYS and MHS), countless team parents, 2 officials’ schedulers and 5 officials’ mentors volunteering their time to 1,075 youth athletes.

MYS provides uniforms, equipment, fields/gyms preparations-maintenance, insurance, State/County/League fees and porta-potties for all participants, as well as, coaching clinics / manuals for our coaches and training / game assignments for our officials to include MYS and MHS athletes.
All administrative and sports program operations are governed by a 7 member volunteer Board of Directors. MYS has one full-time paid employee to facilitate office administration and program operations.
To assist all of our families from having to choose between life’s necessities and their children’s extra curricular activities, MYS provides financial support through the MYS Scholarship Fund receiving its proceeds from donations provided by businesses, organizations and individuals in the community. Our goal is that every dollar we receive is spent to meet the needs of the youth in the community.
In 2005, MYS implemented our Cleats Exchange. Families may bring in clean, used pairs of Baseball / Softball / Soccer cleats to exchange for another size or donate. Families may purchase a pair of used cleats for $3.00 or free to families requesting scholarship assistance. A program well received by our family’s giving them a cost savings between $30.00 and $90.00. All monies collected from the Cleats Exchange goes into the MYS Scholarship Fund.
Over the past 27 years, MYS has provided athletic programs to over 15,000 participants, and your gift to Molalla Youth Sports and our communities programs greatly helps to support our continuing efforts to provide affordable supervised recreation that instills important skills and values in impressionable young lives.
We hope you will consider being a 2009 Sponsor, supporting the youth of Molalla. Thank you.
