Jaguars form alliance with Akadema equipment company
April 21, 2007 The jaguars are thrilled to announce that they will be sponsored by the Akadema baseball equipment company. Akadema, based in Garfield, NJ along with sister company Pro Player Academy, was recently featured on CNBC as one of the fastest growing, most well respected baseball companies in America (see video on akadema website). Akadema has relationships with many of america's top professional and college teams and players. Akadema will outfit the jaguar players and coaches with its top quality line of mitts, cleats, gloves, bats and all outerwear and accessories. "We are excited to partner with the New jersey jaguars, one of the top 15u club teams in our area," said Lawrence Gilligan, ceo of Akadema. We are excited that they will lend visibility to our company as they play other top teams in the Northeast and across America." "We are honored to have Akadema affiliated with our team," said Nick DeBellis, manager of the jaguars. One of the most valuable parts of the association for us is Akadema's access to college baseball teams across America. If we have players that prove they are worthy of playing baseball at the next level, the Akadema staff will help our players gain access and visiblity. There are approximately 2000 colleges that have baseball programs in America and akadema has an existing relationship with over half of them and access to the rest. Through their connections, video tape programs, etc.,our deserving players will gain increased exposure to colleges that are right for them, be it division 1, 2 or 3." The jaguars will continue their association with akadema sister company Pro Player Academy through team clinics focused on hitting, pitching and fielding. Mike Scaduto had a bases loaded triple to break the game open in the 2nd inning where the jaguars scored 6 runs. Nick Fiore had a long double. Every Jaguar either scored or had an rbi
-On defense, the jaguars made all the tough plays. Special mention goes to Logan Pevny who played a great game at 2nd, Mike Scaduto played a great game behind the plate and Nick Fiore played a great game at first base

The Jaguars will try to finish this banner year with a championship in the Cerbo 14u fall league.

    JAGUARS WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!
June 26, 2005 The New Jersey jaguars achieved the greatest accomplishment in the team's history by winning the USSSA state championship this past weekend. The team showed a tremendous amount of ability, guts and fortitude winning 4 out of 5 games, including three in a row on a brutally hot Sunday. Here are the results and highlights:

Jaguars 4 New Jersey Blaze 2 - Delcolle, Skinner and DeBellis combined to pitch a gem of a game. Tabakman, Fiore and Cumella had 2 hits apiece

Hunterdon Hitmen 13 Jaguars 8 - The Jags scored 6 runs in the 1st inning and still had bases loaded no outs but failed to deliver the knockout punch. DeBellis had a triple and Tabakman and Delcolle doubled

Jaguars 9 Future Stars 3 - Andrew Delcolle hurled yet another gem as the jags defeated an excellent Future Star team. Skinner, DeBellis and DelColle had 2 hits apiece

    Jaguars 10 NJ Blaze 6 - DeBellis had 3 hits including a triple and 5 rbi's. Skinner had 2 doubles and 2 rbi's and Fiore had 2 hits and 2 rbi's.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - JAGUARS 3 BERGEN COUNTY WILDCATS 0
JARED SKINNER PITCHED AN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT 7 INNING GAME AND THE JAGUARS PLAYED SENSATIONAL DEFENSE. LOGAN PEVNY AND DYLAN ARGENZIANO MADE SEVERAL GREAT CATCHES IN THE OUTFIELD. NURI GUNES WAS A WARRIOR BEHIND THE PLATE AND ALL WEEKEND. ALEX DEBELLIS HAD A TERRIFIC GAME AT SHORTSTOP. ON OFFENSE, THE JAGUARS SCORED TWO IN THE FIRST WHEN JARED SKINNER LED OFF THE GAME WITH A DOUBLE, TABAKMAN MOVED HIM TO THE THIRD AND DEBELLIS BUNTED HIM HOME. FIORE SCORED DEBELLIS ON A SACRIFICE. THE JAGUARS SCORED ONE MORE IN THE 2ND WHEN ARGENZIANO DOUBLED HOME GUNES. THAT WAS ALL THE SCORING FOR THE GAME. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY WELL PLAYED GAME AND MARKS THE FIRST TIME THE JAGS HAVE DEFEATED THE WILDCATS IN MANY TRIES

Jaguars win Sports at the Beach Tourney!!!!!!
Jaguars defeat Virginia Bruins in 6-4, 10 inning thriller!
The New jersey jaguars traveled to Rehoboth Beach to compete among 16 East Coast teams and returned home with the championship and a perfect 5-0 record. In their first time out on the field this spring in game competition, the Jaguars scored 55 runs and gave up only 14. Here are some highlights:

Jaguars 19 Delmarva dogs 7 - The Jags put an amazing 18 runs on the board in the first inning of the tournament. All 11 Jaguars scored at least once

Jaguars 12 CAA Alleycats 0 - Nick Fiore pitched a shutout and newcomer Sal Cumella had 2 doubles matching his performance in game one. Cumella had 4 doubles in his first four at bats for the jaguars

Jaguars 10 Central PA Cyclones 0 - Andrew Delcolle was downright dominant, surrendering one hit, a texas leaguer that should have been caught

Jaguars 8 Montco Mudcats 3 - Andrew Argiriou was 3-3 and hit .650 for the weekend. In a "high drama" situation, the Jaguars learned in the 4th inning that if they gave up one more run, they would not make the championship game. The jaguar defense stiffened and held the Mudcats scoreless the rest of the way and made the championship game

Jaguars 6- Virginia Bruins 4 (10 innings) - In an extremely exciting and well played game, the jaguars prevailed! jordan Tabakman held the Bruins to one run thru 5 innings. The jaguars scored 4 runs in the 4th, highlighted by a terrific at bat by Nick Fiore with the bases loaded. Fiore fouled off at least 8 pitches and finally drew a bases loaded walk to get things started. Alex DeBellis had 3 hits including 2 clutch rbi singles. DeBellis was called on to pitch in the 9th and 10th innings and retired 6 straight batters to end the game. Logan Pevny got the Jags started in the 9th with a beautiful one out double to right center. Nuri Gunes had 3 hits in the game and had a great tournament. He was a warrior behind the plate all weekend, pitched some strong innings, displayed scary power with his bat and burned up the basebaths with blazing speed. Jared skinner also had a great tournament, playing a great centerfield, hitting, pitching and using his great speed in all facets of the game. John Espada played a flawless second base and had several timley hits over the course of the weekend. Most notably, Dylan Argenziano picked a great time to have his best game as a Jaguar, going 4-4 at the plate with a key rbi in the 9th and making a couple of great plays in the field. Argenziano was named the game's MVP by the umpires

This was a true team effort where all 11 players contributed greatly to the championship and an achievement we will all remember for a very long time

One swing does not make an at-bat. One at-bat does not make an inning. One inning does not make a game. One game does not make a week. One week does not make a season. One season does not make a career. One career does not make a life. This is baseball, there is always going to be another day. The sun will come up, the sky will be blue, the dogs will bark, and the birds will sing. Cheer up son, this is baseball, it's really only a game and we always get another swing!

HOW TO DEAL WITH FAILURE IN BASEBALL
No one likes to fail on the field or anywhere else. Though failure may be a part of life, what really matters is how we handle it. Failure should not to be feared, but should be challenged!

COLLEGE COACHES WANT TO SEE YOU FAIL

It is equally important for a college coach to see you fail, as it is to succeed on the ball field. You may have thought before that coaches only want to see good plays. However, if you stop and think about it, even a .400 hitter will make 6 outs in 10 at bats! There is no such thing as a shortstop that never makes errors. Your reaction to failure is very important to the coach that is watching you play.

THINGS THAT TURN COLLEGE COACHES OFF:

If you want to draw NEGATIVE attention to yourself, then you should do these things: (1) Throw your bat or batting helmet, (2) Yell at a teammate for making a mistake (3) Trash talk at the other team (4) Blame your mistake on someone else β€“β€œIt’s not my fault!” (5) After popping up just turn and walk towards the dugout without running to first base. These things are guaranteed to lower your standing with a college coach.
