Mustangs Hit Home Run With Miracle League
June 10, 2009
This past weekend 6 members of the Northville Wrestling family traveled to Southfield to partake in a “Miracle League” baseball game. Mike Bagian, Harry Eichholtz, John Montgomery, Nick Mudar and Steve Widzinski, along with team manager Elizabeth Boshoven, played for the Dodgers and made a few dreams come true.
According to the Miracle League website; “‘Miracle League’ is a charitable organization that provides children with mental and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. There is something about playing the game of baseball that lights up youngsters’ eyes, but for children facing physical and mental challenges, that opportunity can often be a difficult first step. The Miracle League gives these children the opportunity to get out in the sunshine and enjoy playing the game of baseball in its purest form.”
You may recognize Harry’s teammate Alec Cunningham. Alec is a student at Hillside Middle School and is a huge supporter of Northville Wrestling. Alec can be seen at the end of the bench cheering on the guys at our home matches.

3rd Annual Schoenheide Challenge Set
May 26, 2009
Mark your calendar for December 12, 2009 as we will be hosting the 3rd annual Todd Schoenheide Challenge. The 6 team round-robin format tournament will include some of the best teams in the area. We will be welcoming back the L'Anse Creuse Lancers and the Marysville Vikings, along with the Monroe Trojans, Saline Hornets, and Brighton Bulldogs.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to the Todd Schoenheide Memorial Scholarship.
Brighton Team Camp
We would like to have at least 18 wrestlers attend the Brighton Team
Camp. The camp runs from June 22nd to June 26th with each session
lasting from 3:45 to 8:45. The team cost is $1,500.00 per team, this
works out to about $84.00 per wrestler.
It is still not to late, we have confirmed the teams spot but have about
four more open spots. Please come to Mr. Boshoven's room to pick-up an application and information sheet. The application and a check made out to "Brighton Wrestling Camp" should be sent in to Coach Boshoven as soon as possible.
The camp will provide an opportunity for our team to wrestle two dual
meets each day in addition to wrestling instruction from some of the
best coaches/wrestlers in the state.

Open Mat
Off season open mat has begun. The wrestling room will
be open for wrestling on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
Pass it around to the team, and any others who may want
to come get some roll time. Out of town wrestlers are
welcome.
Northville Wrestlers earn All-Area Honors
Jon Nelson, Nick Mudar and Colin Maresh earn hometownlife.com all-area status. Just like the season the Mustangs were led in almost every category by these three wrestlers. Their hard work and dedication once again pay off with a little recognition. Congratulations Jon, Nick and Colin.

Preparation for the 2009-2010 Season is underway
Wrestlers, check in with the website frequently, because it will be kept current with off season information. This will include strength training workouts, local schools (uncluding us) with open mat sessions and times, spring summer tournaments, and camps.
The Coaching staff is looking forward to a successful season next year, but it all starts now. Your off season preparation will prepare you for success next year.
Northville Wrestling Welcomes back Bob Boshoven as the head coach
After a 14 year break Bob Boshoven has resumed the mantle of Northville High School Head Coach. With Jeff Balagna stepping down after a four year run, the Northville athletic director has selected Bob to take over the reins and continue the success of the last few seasons. Additionally Assistant Coach and Northville Club Director Ed Maresh has also stepped down after many years of dedication to the Northville Wrestling Family.
Once again we would like to thank Coach Jeff Balagna and Coach Ed Maresh for their dedication to our young men as they have progressed through the Northville wrestling program. The success of the Northville Club will have a affect on the high school program for years to come.
Even with the changes in the coaching staff, we are all still committed to the success of this program and the students who participate.

Welcome to website for the Northville High School Wrestling team and Northville Youth Club.
For those of you who are new to the program, the coaching staff will attempt to keep the website current with upcoming events, results, general announcements and pictures of our high school and club wrestlers.
If there is any information that you would like posted, feel free to email the information to one of the coaches for posting.
For those of you interested in participating in either the high school program or the youth club, we will get you the information you need.
