2009 Perry Pumas Varsity Team!
Varsity Top 4 in State
Congrats to the Varsity team for finishing in the top 4 in the State. The Pumas got seeded as the #12 seed going into the play offs and had their first game against #5 seed Tempe High. They beat Tempe high 1-0 and got the nod to play the #4 seed Douglas. After a 5 hour drive, the Pumas again shocked bystanders beating Douglas 6-3. Sophomore pitcher Jessica Wilkinson finished the game with 11 strike outs. Sophomore Mariah Konicke also had a great game going 2-3 with a 3 run homerun in the sixth inning. The Pumas then went on to play the State Champs Seton Catholic where they came up short of a victory.

Great Job JV and Freshmen
Our Junior Varsity softball team had a great season going undefeated with a 16-0 record. Megan White was named the Team Offensive Player of the Year, while Freshmen pitcher Jessica Bostaph earned team Defensive Player of the year for her great performance on the mound. Tess Farrar was named the Puma award by Coach Chapin for her attitude and wiliness to work. Freshmen went 10-4 and got better each and every game. They learned a lot about the game and improved their skills. Great Job to both teams for making softball at Perry High School remarkale!!!

Coach Robinson has high expectations for the 2010 season and is looking to win region and contend for a state championship.
Incoming player news
Coach Robinson is not hosting any summer camps but there will some open fields in the fall as well as high school camp over the October Intersession. Be sure to continue playing this summer and fall; as try outs for next year are going to be very competitive. Dates and details for camp and the open fields will be announced in Aug.
