2009 Summer Camps
June 9, 2009
There are several wrestling camps this summer in our area:
- Sammy Wrestling Camp: June 29 - July 3
- Washington's Greats Camp: June 22 - June 26
There are age restrictions for these camps, so make sure you check that carefully. See the flyers in the Handout Section for more information.
Freestyle Wrestling Season
March 1, 2009
The 2009 Freestyle season is starting up, and there is a local area team that offers the opportunity to continue wrestling and try a new style:
- Plateau Pack Wrestling Club: The coaching staffs of Eastlake, Skyline, and Eastside Catholic are proud to announce their partnership with the Plateau Pack Wrestling Club. The club is open to boys/girls from K-12. Practices are at Eastside Catholic in Sammamish on T/Th starting on 3/3. K-6 is from 6:00-7:00 and grades 7-12 is 7:00-8:00. A fee of $75 is payable to Plateau Pack Wrestling Club and you will need a valid USA Wrestling Card prior to practice. Questions call Gus at (425) 445-1389 or Riley at (425) 244-9895.
Several of our Bulldogs wrestlers will participate, and this is a great chance to meet and wrestle with other local kids.
2008/2009 WWKWL League Championships
January 27, 2009
The WWKWL League Championships were held last weekend, and the Redmond/Sammamish Bulldogs had a phenomenal showing:
- Bryson Harshman, Intermediate 65 lbs., Participant (19 man bracket!)
- Jonah Beeman, Bantam 50 lbs., Participant (15 man bracket!)
- Derek Galipeau, Bantam 60 lbs., 6th Place (14 man bracket!)
- Blaine Minton, Intermediate 75 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)
- Sam Kipfer, Intermediate 80 lbs., 2nd Place (6 man bracket)
- J. T. Ahlberg, Novice 70 lbs., 5th Place (8 man bracket)
- Justin Harshman, Novice 70 lbs., 1st Place (8 man bracket)
- William Dubois, Novice 70 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)
- Campbell Shaffer, Novice 80 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)
- Konrad Peterson, Novice 85 lbs., 1st Place (8 man bracket)
- Drew Valdez, Novice 90 lbs., 2nd Place (7 man bracket)
- Dawson Strom, Novice 95 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)

2008/2009 WWKWL Mid-Season Tournament

The WWKWL Mid-Season Championships were held on Sunday, January 11th, at Sedro-Wooley High School. 10 Bulldog wrestlers competed, with the following results:
